Ingenious and colourful hats were the order of the
day as Broughton and Cransley Over 60's held an Easter Bonnet Parade at the club. A total
of 27 hats were entered in the parade' by both men and women members of the club. The
entries were judged by Mrs. S.G. Caulfield, caretaker of the village's old people's flats,
and Mrs. N, R. Miles, the wife of the vicar of Broughton. Winner of the contest was:
