2nd Broughton Scout Group

 

There is plenty of fun at the Beaver colony with games, Stories, making craft items and also making Friends.

Last year the beavers went on a day trip to legoland and took part in the millennium camp and numerous other fun activities.

The meetings for the Beavers, Cubs and the Scouts take place every Tuesday

Lots of fun at the Cub Pack has maintained numbers over the past twelve months. As with the beavers, the weekly meetings are full of training, badge awards, activities and games.

Throughout the year the cubs have entered many District competitions, five- a- side football, chess competitions and athletics to name but a few.

Evening trips have played their part too, like the one to the Kettering Fire Station. The District week-end camp at Glendon in July was very successful as the weather was a lot kinder than at the previous camp in May.		 The Scout Troop have had a very active year, being involved in many District events similar to the Cubs. They have been away for a few week-ends camping and also on day trips to various places including an adventure day at Birmingham with rock climbing, abseiling etc. Night hikes have also been a regular feature of the year.


The District Millennium Camp at Boughton House in May 2000 promised to be an action packed fun weekend had to be abandoned a day early due to bad weather.
